I agree with you completely except scope. I will not vote for more large RJs than we already have. In my view this is Delta pilot flying. I have heard my ALPA reps say we should build our pay incrementally. This is exactly what the company is doing to us on scope, only backwards. In 1986 our scope was zero jet RJs. When does it end? Eventually, the company will promise to not fly 1,000,000 super cubs if we let regionals have our 737s. Hey, that's less total RJ seats!
I am willing to take the chance on sending it back. Maybe it will work out for us and maybe not. The company has a lot to lose too. I believe they will work with us again. Remember, they came to us early. They are motivated. We may never know the exact reasons but they are motivated. If I am wrong and we lose out at least I know we tried. I'm a solid no on this deal.
