I can't let it pass without pointing out how deplorably Delta handled the Northwest Poolies when they opened the window for the first time after the merger. I know that episode is lost within the static and perpetual inequity of this business, but it would have been so easy to have done the right thing, and they didn’t.

But at least the questions are still there on Airline Apps asking if you ever interviewed, if so when and were you offered a position. So, who knows maybe we'll go to the front of the line next time there is a line...I know there can't be too many of us left since some did get picked up last round.

And people cannot just say CAL or UAL side? That crap has gone down the regionals and theres now people saying legacy expressjet and ASA. Yuck

Our management loves to make up new buzz words...this legacy/ subsidiary stuff was started by our management pukes and filtered out to the general population. Just like a jetway is now a passenger loading bridge, and there is no longer flight crew, there are pilots and flight attendants. And so forth and so on...

We currently have about 6 pilots per airplane (yes that's PILOTS not crews) crazy huh? At that rate the Airbus alone will mean 115~ over the next 3 years.

I'd have to imagine that 6PPA will have to go up a little. It's pretty painfully understaffed. Company relies on "mission mode" which is essentially open time volunteers instead of reserves to pick up the slack.

That's assuming they keep all the Airbus as growth aircraft. That same VP said last week it all depends on oil prices. He also said the 166 seat modification will be 5 airplanes less. Sounds like 5 replacement Airbus to me. I also doubt we will see much growth in the next year with LAX, IFP, UTA closing.

Sorry for the negativity. I hope to be proven wrong.
