U.S. stocks plunge on possible bank downgrades and signs of economic slowdown. Dow slides 251 points.---CNN Web alert
I've got an idea, let's go for MORE MONEY! Things are GREAT, and that will never change. (maybe we have a good deal now) There is one good thing though, gas is lower. But, things aren't great all over, and Europe sure isn't doing well along with the US it seems.

Yes let's all make long-term decisions based on the day to day whims of the market indices. Volatility be damned. Also, market was down but DAL was UP 0.18%. So as far as today's markets were concerned, people with skin in the game seem to think that DAL is okay Bill...

I agree as long as somebody doesn't post the price of oil and try and use the recent drop to justify their long term decisions.

Since 9/10/01, the day before Sept 11th happened, the stock market is still up 17%. That includes the hits its taken from 9/11, the wars, and the 2008 meltdown.
Though things may not be like they once were or as certain looking into the future, the country and economy are robust long term. Delta is a robust, profitable airline.
