I think you are right and I sure want to believe that. I've changed my vote back and forth several times ... this has been a tough one to call.

I know. I was originally a big no, with nothing less than 30% DOS. But, after calming down and looking around us, looking at the duration, fewer RJs, good pay for 3 years, and 717s, it turned into a yes.

Per the PWA, 0 additional 76-seaters are allowed until Delta increases the mainline fleet from where it is right now.

The TA allows them to increase 76-seaters by 70 airframes without increasing the mainline fleet from where it is right now.

That is a win... just not for us.

Look around us- still below SWA, AMR get 15% and we are making money.
fewer RJs- do you not see all the 76 seats you added
looking at duration- you send this back, we will have another TA buy football or before. Company came to us. They have plan B, its not wait around. They came to us.
good pay for 3 years- you lost your pension, huge paycuts, work rules slashed, record SLI and you call this good pay.
717- they will be here even when we vote this down.

Holy cow Bar. Does it not matter to you that NONE of this is in the TA anywhere? Have we sunk so deep that we are taking press releases and emails and saying that's as good as contract language?

Carl, this TA will create 2900 newhires, bill will make 717A, and every puppy without a home in the US will get a good home. Geez.

because the yes voters I talk to in person say it's a no brainer- raises now instead of in 3 years. raises now!!!! oh and reserve will be so much better. scope is fine.

so does it cure that? i think it will in time.

Sorry, but how is SWA doing these days? Delaying 30 738s? How's the Eurozone? You are brining up AA? In BK? Yeah, the company came to us early, and they can also wait it out for a couple more years too. Yes, a 19.7% pay increase over 2 1/2 years is a nice pay raise, compared to our current 4 year contract worth 17%. And if we don't get rid of the 200 plus RJs in the next 3 years, we'll have too much capacity out there for 88 717s. They will replace the 76 seaters who are replacing the 102 70 seaters filling in for the gap created by dumping 200+ 50 seaters. Someday you'll understand.

You got that right. It'll be Xmas everyday I am flying that thing, at $195 an hour by 2015.....

Maybe someday you will understand that what this TA does is track inflation by selling 2 more viable Compass sized airlines out from under the DAL pilots.

Plus it is concessionary for workrules.

Plus the company was going to do the other things anyway - like buy the airplane you are covetting.
