no!

more like 900 pilots this fall to handle the 88 B717s we're getting at the end of the year. They should all be here at once and then the 1.56 ratio kicks and... wait.

The 1.56 ratio kicks in once we sign this contract, which means they transfer flying to us and so that's when we take 88 B717s and we'll have them on property while we train 1,200 pilots to fly them.... wait.

No that's right. Oh yeah the RJ, thing. For every 2 CR2s we give up we get 1 B717. So we are giving up 200 CR2s for 88 B717s.

I am already beginning to feel the changes the last MOU regarding reserve utilization. And I am afraid this TA is gonna bring even more negative QOL impact to our rank and file, all for a whopping 2-5 extra hours of pay.
What equip and base? I moved from the 88B in Atl where we were abused at the bottom to the ER in NY. I flew 1 intl trip and 1 4 day domestic this month. Sitting my 4th short call today. Life has improved for me, even taking into consideration the suck factor from commuting.

rvr350, mine was somewhat sarcasm. I should have put one of those "roll eye" smilies at the end like gloopy did. As I have said before, I just don't see the hiring due to this ta considering current staffing, actual impact of work rule changes, unknown retirements, past predictions and promises, yada yada yada

Bill,

You do realize that roughly 25% of DAL pilots will ALWAYS be on reserve...right?

They can't all "choose" to hold a line.

You keep justifying the unfair treatment of reserves by implying that they deserve to be treated like crap since they are junior.

That sucks.
