No more cockpit jump seat on Continental
Just announced by our company.
Please be advised that the Continental Airlines extension for the requirement to display digital photos expires effective this evening, October 31 and Continental will be required to temporarily suspend OAL access to their flight deck jumpseats.
OAL pilots and dispatchers will still be welcome by Continental to travel with "unlimited" authorization in the passenger cabin on both domestic and international flights. Continental has completed the development of the software and procedures to display pictures and is currently completing training to allow them to renew OAL access to the flight deck.
Anyone at CAL know what's going on. It looks like they have not complied with the photo ID provision of the rule.

I'm just an Express pilot, but we're in the same boat. Some stations still have the old green-screen computers that are unable to display photos. CAL/XJT was granted an extension to 11/1, which obviously has expired. Wish I could tell you when CASS will be back for us, but I haven't heard anything in the way of a time frame.
