Hawaiian Jumpseat
Aloha,
I’m a fellow ALPA pilot flying a 737 for a Canadian airline.
Hawaiian jumpseat policy states from the ALPA website:
Hawaiian has an "open skies" walk-up jumpseat policy. The jumpseat is available to pilots from all FAR Part 121 operators on a first-come, first-served basis, with the captain’s approval.
In Canada, FAR 121 ops are equivalent to our CARS 705. I’m curious if a Hawaiian Captain could extend this wonderful privilege to a Canadian airline pilot?
Thanks!

That is not what he is asking. We all know you have to be CASS to sit in jumpseat. He is wondering if he can offline and sit in the back.

To help answer your question it'll boil down to whether you have a reciprocal agreement with Hawaiian.
I have JS to Canada on both Jazz and Air Canada a few years back with no problem. Even got first class both ways (Thanks guys!!).
You cannot sit up front international unless it's on your own airline as I understand it, but if you have a reciprocal agreement you can request a seat in the back on a first-come first-served basis.
Most large Canadian operators have agreements with US based carriers.
Hope this helps!!
