Maybe they want more varied flying? Strategically positioning themselves to be with American? Tired of the 737?
Very curious.

Southwest or AirTran? I'm not sure how I can see guys making Southwest rates, which are supposed to be some of the best in the industry (and I'm sure those FOs are on year 2,3,4,5 since SWA hasn't hired in awhile) and start at Airways whih is amongst the lowest.

I just got off with phone with the Captain who told me this info and he doesn't know what ratio of them are Legacy AirTran or Legacy Southwest.

flybywire, did your friend that applied in August have an application invitation in February for that requisition number? My August app still says under review but I had an application invitation for the latest req. #. I've heard that if you're still under review, they'll get to you-it's just a matter of when the computer pulls your name out. Is there any truth to that? Are they gonna give all the August applicants still under review a shot before they move on to other application windows? Thanks in advance.

I've heard this as well...HOPING that this is true...there can't be that many of left from August who are Under Review with no rejections...can there? Where did you happen to hear it from? An reliable sources on this? I also had two application invitations for the latest req number...for the August and December apps.

Just went into my profile to check on things... On my August application it says under review, but I have another application on file from February when they invited everyone to reapply and I have the view directions link under that req. number. Not sure if the view directions means anything anymore but I am hopeful..

I'm in the same boat as everybody else waiting for a call. I think it's almost comical how we are all grasping at any little thing and hoping that it means something. Hopefully in 5 years or so we can all look back and laugh at ourselves over all this.
