And how many Delta pilot flight bags have stickers on them reading "Hired, not acquired" on them against the NWA guys. No thanks.

Best of luck.

This was taken from Wikipedia:

"In early 2008 the airline's publicly traded parent Midwest Air Group was taken over by the private investment firm TPG Capital with a minority investment by Northwest Airlines (now part of Delta Air Lines)."

Av8r,

How could the DAL pilots have screwed the Midwest pilots over in the above scenario? I personally do not remember every fact and if I am wrong then please set me right.

Also, have not seen many "hired, not acquired" stickers around and that is NOT a prevalent topic in our cockpits. Would you rather deal with an AMR/TWA or SWA/AirTran scenario than deal with the DAL pilot group?

Repectfully,

I hope it doesn't happen, but I think after the US/AA deal, AK will be next. Maybe not, but a nice piece of low laying fruit.

Best of luck.

Hey toolbag, where can I get one of those stickers? Having been at DL for over 27 years, and through 3 mergers, I've never seen one but it sounds like a great idea for a conversation starter on those long night flights!

And don't worry, I seriously doubt YOU will ever have to worry about dealing with a Delta Pilot merger.

You go, Timbo! Never seen anyone toolish enough to place a sticker like that on their, what was that again, a "flight bag"? Do we still have those?

Timbo 10-16-2012 06:35 AM

I was in MSP yesterday and thought I saw a Delta guy (may have been Mesaba/Compass/etc?) with his HAT ON, and hauling a flight kit on his roll a board bag! Are there any of our fleets that don't have ship-sets?

I was po'd that he didn't snap to attention and salute as we passed by! Doesn't he KNOW who WE are??!

Slackers!

;^)

Any updates on Alaska hiring plans? Any shot for an east coaster to get on? :)

That is a pretty lame stretch that is based on nothing but disrespect! Where did you come up with such bunk? I jumpseat on AS all the time because DAL has decided not to fly the West Coast. I appreciate the professionalism I am shown every time. I am certain you do not represent the Alaska pilots. A merger will likely occur and not one pilot on either side of the fence will be able to do anything about it. Just sitting on your keyboard spewing lies to look tough is childish. But then after all it is not your fault you do not know how to get along with others it is clearly your parents!

So is the app window gonna re-open or are they using current files? I HEARD they aren't interviewing anyone that hasn't met them at a aviation conference. Anyone else?
