I found this website... http://www.b737.com/ It's a 2 day course in which you get to learn about the B737 and also get some sim time in it. I know a few GA guys that did and loved it. I talked to the people at B737 and they are full until July. Does anyone know of any other programs such as this in the US, Canada, or Europe? I wanted to give this as a Christmas present. If anyone knows of similiar programs, any information would be great. Thanks!

I did this about 8 years ago, when I was a flight instructor (it was at United training center then). For a flight instructor, it was a incredible look at my future career - almost like a window into what it was going to be like.
Althought the ATOP course is short, it did show me what it would be like when I was hired at an airline and what it would be like. Just being in the UAL training center (back then) was inspiring.
If Wayne Phillips is still the instructor, he is a very dynamic personality and makes it very enjoyable.

Why not save yourself the money. Get in your car drive to the nearest airport. Then drive back and forth between several airports in the area numerous times (make 6-8 legs on preferably busy, high traffic, routes). On the last leg back to your home airport drive in a circle in an empty parking lot for an hour. Then divert to an alternate airport. Get a hotel room, eat dinner (and the lunch you missed) from the vending machine, sleep for 4.5 to 5 hours, wake at 5am and get ready to do it again.

Sorry to spoil the party, but am I missing something?
I thought that all this stuff was supposed to be double super secret uber verboten stuff post 9/11. Didn't all of those boneheads get transport category training in a sim?
And, as far as the driving thing goes, you would have to include a dinner comprised of potato chips and peanuts that you consume in 3.4 seconds during a turn.
