Please Help Pilots Stuck In Brazil
#141
How much support do you think flight crews will give if their statements might be used against them in a court of law?

I agree. However, I don't think that prosecution of the pilots will help improve air safety. If we start doing that, pilots will start deactivating their cockpit voice recorders and working against authorities instead of with them. Only in the case of extreme negligence should pilots be prosecuted. For example if they were drunk, or flying without a clearance.

No dude. This discussion is totally valid. Governors must sit side by side to review their assignments.

Just some words:
1) To these who are asking if I'm a pilot: NO, I'm a company owner, and I entered in this forum just to tell my opinion about this case. Some posts here are questioning me cause I said If I were piloting a plane, and the air controller instruction was not the same of the flight plan, I would ask many times before do it.
If it's normal you don't ask twice even if you aren't sure, so all aviation rules are WRONG, including US rules. To pilot a plane is not a child's play, is a dangerous and deadly thing, even with all available technologies. So, no precaution can be considered superfluous.
2) Some of you lost time posting political opinions like Recalcitrant and SideshowBob. Instead of this, you should try to convince your governor to do something.

He's naive as well...everything is political, and everything else is politics. Most of these turd worlders just love the UN for example, which is the circle jerk of politics, but decry anyone who points out their own political drivel.

Apparently he's from Cluelessistan given his lack of knowledge of aviation, although he wades into an aviation forum spouting ignorant remarks and conclusions while expecting to be taken seriously. But I bet he can fly a mean computer simulation from his cubicle job.
