Spirit Jumpseat question

Only one on the 320's. The 320's also have no xtra FA Jumpseat, but offline can ride on an FA Jumpseat on the 319 and 321.

Good luck jumpseating on them if you don't get yourself listed ahead of time. Expect 4 confused gate agents, a supervisor or two, and at least an hour for them to figure out how to list you at the gate.

I feel like I show up and this is the first time theyve ever encountered a jumpseater.

On the other hand, if you can follow a simple request like a preferred listing by phone (on the ALPA site as well as on airlinepilotcentral.com Spirit page) then I doubt you'll have much trouble.
And when all else fails- seek out a uniformed crew member.

Or you can put your big boy pants on and call in advance to list like the rest of us (employees included). Look- it is what it is. The CSAs are usually overworked, undertrained and short-handed; if that's going to make your panties wad up then maybe you should make your way down to the Delta gate. If you don't call ahead then the agents may be hard-pressed to get you listed; I haven't heard of anyone getting left at the gate in a long time but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't happen. Bottom line: it may be a pain in the ass but you'll get listed and get a ride. Isn't that what you showed up for? Does Spirit owe you anything more? And if you turn out to be the unlucky statistic that does get stuck at the gate because you couldn't get listed then make sure your (and our) jumpseat coordinator know.

And now, the award for most unnecessarily harsh response goes to...
