New SWA Chief Pilot?
I heard a rumor that SWA is getting a new chief pilot and that is why the October interviews haven't gotten any calls/letters yet.

There are some changes taking place at SWA Management as soon as the results are posted I'll let you know.

As long as we're talking SWA rumor mill, here's more: The guys I interviewed with on the 23rd of October are "pinging" because no one has gotten "the word" yet, even though our decision board was last week. I think that we won't find out until after Thanksgiving and that this is a normal timeframe. What do you think? Also, one of those guys heard "from a friend" that almost 300 were interviewed in October and only 100 would be hired. Do these numbers make sense to you? Thanks in advance for your help, Dave. |

I don't know how the guys who interviewed the first week of Oct. deal with it. One guy in my group emailed us and said the same about the hiring 100 out of 300. 1 in 3 not too bad. |
I interviewed on the 11th of Oct. It sure has been a long wait, but it will be well worth it if you get the call. I had vacation planned prior to my being called for an interview. That helped to keep my mind off the wait for a week. Maybe I should take another one!
