This reminds me of a story I heard a few years ago. On most of our 757's and all of our 767's, they have the vacume flush lavs. Well the story I was told by the F/O involved was, a rather large woman got STUCK on the bowl, when she flushed! She flushed twice!

There was enough of her to overlap (reverse muffin top? see photo above) all the way around the seat, to create a pretty good seal, and he had to go in there and pry her legs apart, to break the suction and get her off the bowl!

You can't make this stuff up, and you couldn't pay me enough to get in there and do it!

The stuck on the lav is a legendary story that actually originated with the the DC-6, as proof positive, there was a hole drilled in the side of the bowl as a vacuum breaker. Really no ******.........

They should use the same space as is required in residential and commercial buildings. Heck, even porta-potti's have more room than on planes.

That's a great idea. I don't see any downside. While we're at it, let's raise fares by 500%. That shouldn't be a problem, either.

They stay up on the -700. -800? Forget it. Hopefully, the -900 will use the Boeing advanced technology to actually have the seats work. Oh, and fix the towel dispenser. Want one paper towel? Get about 50. How hard can it be?

It's not the dispenser, it's the cabin cleaners who shove 2,000 paper towels into a 500 towel holder.

I just transitioned to the 777. The forward lav just aft of the cockpit, on the -300 at least, is like a small studio apartment. There's a huge sink, a rack for soaps and lotions, and enough space to have a three-way in there if you wanted to. :D
