What kind of QOL does a junior guy have at Tran? What's reserve like? call outs, etc..
Also, how "commutable" are the lines when you get a year or so under your belt?
Any other goodies you can share, please do..
thanks

well quality of life could aways be better for all of us, but that being said things are pretty good here. There some guys who have not spent even a month on reserve. the 737 program is still moving pretty fast so worst case would be a few months. the 717, we are very short on F.O.'s at the moment, but the guys are on reserve alot longer because the fleet is so much bigger...for now.
as far as cummutable, over 70% of us do it. not a big deal. ATL is pretty easy to get to .and at the 1 year point an F.O. on the 737 will be midway up the list so life should be good!

So if you're a "new hire" do you go to the 737? or 717? Are there seat locks?
Hypothetically, if you're assigned to the 717 as an FO, then you're able to hold the 737 as CP in 2 or 3 years, can you go or are you frozen?

well veloepede, judging by your always crappy attitude about every thing and everyone i would much rather fly with one of them then having u pull my gear for four days anytime!! NUFF SAID ABOUT THAT AND YOU!
upgrade on both is still running under 3 years. there is a one year seat lock for the first year and a two year if you change planes or upgrade. new hires are being placed into both planes. normally every class will have some in each. it is seniority based as too your choice. and the seniorty for the class is determined by your age.
