Denying a jump seat to a scab is one thing but denying a jump seat to a fellow pilot is just punkass in MY opinion. If that was the case than jump seats wouldn't exist because after all aren't we all competing against each other? Give me a break, management has turned us all against each other.

The only thing this JS denial will cause is a JS war. Do ( some of) you guys really think that your going to change the entire dynamics of the airline industry by not letting Joe Blo from airline X to catch a ride? If you do than you should be a union electrician in Jersey or something. Maybe the mafia or a Mexican gang. Get off your 'high horse' and play nice, but fair.

There are alot of rivalries between different branches of the military but in a bar fight, whatever, those guys will stand side-by-side despite the low level differences because of the end goal. Denying a JS is just a poke in the eye that will only affect that one guy. It's not like your falling on your sword and sending a nuke to the other 'airline'. Unless that's what you want to start... Which would get ugly and be nonproductive for all the flyers, commuters from every airline.

Please, pick your battles. Engage the ones you can win and affect the long term outcome that is in the best interest of the entire group and let the personal attacks against Joe Blo pass.

Aside-Sounds like my 3-year divorce!!!

Hey FreeWillie,

You won't have to imagine anything, it will happen. Besides I doubt our JS coordinator would pursue any kind of reciprocal agreement with VA anyway.

an airline that pays that little will probably not even spend the money to implement cass.

I believe they aren't playing fair. they are undercutting other pilots and bringing everyone else down. if they played fair and got their pay in line then I don't think anyone would have a problem if that airline did better than their own.

If these new airlines have a product that is so superior to everyone else then they can afford to pay their employees the same as everyone else. It won't matter because the customer will decide that their product is better and choose them.

If they aren't going to play fair then why should we play nice.

Pilot groups undercutting...

SWA is the classic undercutter. SWA pilots started the trend years ago and now they are nicely compensated...I'm sure they will have a soft spot in their hearts for the new generation of undercutters.

Virtually all are college grads. You mean to tell me they couldn't find a non-flying job to support the family? Of course, that would mean working 9-5 5 days a week. Omigod, don't ask an airline pilot to stoop that low.

Better to stab the guys who didn't get the furlough letter in the back. Not to mention the rest of the unionized industry. What's the result?

Since B6 was founded, AAA and UAL have had their salaries cut $80 an hour to match B6. The lost their pensions to match B6.

Professional? I don't square up on them. I don't shout "SCAB" at them.

I deny them the jumpseat and shun them. And that's better than they deserve.

You're not 59 by any chance, are you?

Dude,
Let it go. I haven't been on this site long and don't visit everyday but even I can tell when someone has a chip on their shoulder. Sorry you didn't get hired but maybe you had that chip with you at the interview and they saw it.

[QUOTE=Velocipede;89626] It gives me great pleasure, especially if its the last flight of the night to where they're going.[QUOTE]

To deny a fellow aviator a ride home gives you great pleasure?
...no further questions Your Honor.
You are a piece of human excrement.

Of course you are to much of a coward to identify what airline you work for in fear that some of us might return the favor.

Whoever you work for - tell your buddies (if you have any) that they are always welcome on our jumpseat at JetBlue and your Flight Attendants too.

Of course you would.

Now, if we did not have another terrorist attack - would you give the President any credit?

The fact is - We (the righties) are doing very well. You just can not imagine the alternative. As soon as we let up on these clows 'over there' we will see new attacks. I am sure that the new Democrat President named Obama or Hillary, will still blame Bush.
