Default jetblue BOS domicile

Just wanted to know the scoop on jetblue's BOS pilot domicile for those of you who are based there or know someone who is. I'm beginning my airline career journey at this time in my life and I do live in Massachusetts, so as far as QOL is concerned this would be a great option for me years down the road. Of course it is completely hypothetical because there is no way to know if I would get the job or if the base would still remain in BOS, but I figured I would ask anyway. Looking to see what the deal is with the pilot group, routes, upgrade times etc. For those who fly with jetblue, what did you have for flying time when you were hired? Also a random question....do they have free parking available for pilots at the airport?

You'll get based wherever you can hold when you're in class. It will be either BOS or JFK. Boston is easy to hold. Upgrade has gone fairly junior in the last two awards for 190 FO. About 3 years or so. Yes, the company pays for parking in the Chelsea garage, $40 per month at your commute city, or a bus/T pass.

The other stuff you'll learn about if you're here, and it changes anyway.

You need to be worried about getting your flight time and passing check rides. This industry changes year to year. Bases open bases close. Companies start and companies fold. Your gonna need thousands of hours to get on a major and that's years and I mean years. Now if you have breasts that'll help.

Yes I am aware of all of that. It was just more of a curiosity question. Just trying to get a feel for things. Thanks for the response though. Oh and no breasts either. Does that mean I'm SOL?

Don't worry. They can be purchased AND installed at many hospitals today.

But without them, in a word, yes.

Oh good. The installation part is key.

And now JB health insurance will pay for the operation. But still has a difficult time covering some autism meds.
