It's hip to be green. The latte-sippers think "I'll fly SW. Then I'm doing my duty by Mother Earth! Less CO2!"

I actually did the math once - yes, I am a dork. For a transatlantic flight on a 777 with 250 people, each person is "responsible" for adding almost a ton of CO2 into the air. I came up with 1,500 lb per person.

If they knew that, they'd probably choke a bit. :D
