Southwest's Winglets

After watching football all day I think I'll puke if I have to listen to that chick on the Southwest commercial explain the winglet "doohickeys" again.
As if Southwest invented and has a f'n patent on them so they can sell cheaper tickets! I guess Southwest believes the traveling public is stupid enough to think everybody else's winglets don't work the same way.
Gimme a break!

A lot of their marketing and business model is based on this.

Id love to know what the average person believes is the reason why the winglets help save fuel.

I'm sure in reality the could care less as long as they save on checked baggage fees
