It will be interesting to see how the ATCA/UAL program works once those new hires start. All that's required for them is to instruct for a certain amount of time at ATCA and obtain their ATP before starting at UA. Not a bad deal for those accepted into the program!

I had some good luck and fortunate timing. Please PM with any questions I'm happy to help!
CJO Delta and AA, invite to interview with FEDEX. Undecided.
Fighters + 121 + USAFR
2,000 TT
1,900 TPIC
SEFE/IP. CFII
BS, MA
4 Tickets
No checkride fails. (I did list my IPUG, FLUG and best guess at IFF and UPT busts with DAL)
2AA/8DAL recs
Apps in for 6mos
Checked and Set + Emerald Coast. No RST.
AA interview was 75% mil fighters, 15% mil heavy, 10% civilian
DAL was 25% mil fighters 25% mil heavy, 50% civilian
FWIW as a mil guy, I think starting training at the regional that triggered the calls. Also I learned a ton there that helped during the interviews (and as a pilot).
Lastly there were plenty of young (26 yrs old) (regional) pilots at the DAL interview, glad to see folks getting those opportunities!
Good luck!

What regional were you training at? Trying to narrow down my options.

Interview last week with Delta and got CJO with Sept Indoc date.
Also have CJO from United but no word on class date yet.
I'm a retiring Air Force guy with 19 years flying fighters.
My Delta interview class was 12 total, with 8 guys either current military (ANG or separating), retiring currently (me) or retired within last 16.9 months. Mix of fighter, bomber, C-130, and even U-2.
The four civilian guys were 1 x regional FO, 1 x regional Capt, 1 x Corporate guy flying Gulfstreams, and 1 x expat flying for an ME-3 carrier.
Happy to answer questions about either airlines hiring / interview process.
Good luck!

Blessed with a CJO at AA!
F-16/MC-12 + 121 + ANG (KC-135)
2,950 TT
1,520 TPIC
CL-65/BE-300 Type ratings
No IP Qual
Prior CFI/CFII
BS, MS (Aviation)
11 Tickets (One 3 years ago, all others 13+ years ago)
Suspended license (16 years ago)
No checkride busts
1 CC-directed Q-3 for a minor incident
1 Internal rec
App in for 8 mos
Checked and Set + Emerald Coast
I highlight all of the negative stuff to show that it is possible to get hired with some black eyes. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, learn from your mistakes, and move on. Be upfront and honest about all of it. Do NOT try to hide any of it. Most importantly, be humble and have a good attitude.
I have a lot of volunteer work which I think helped make up for my past but I think the regional job helped the most. Invite came about 2 weeks after adding the job. Got the CJO immediately after completing OE with 35 hours in the jet.

Sounds like progress is already being made in the work rules arena. Hopefully we don't have to wait until 2019 to see improvements.
