Wow! Apparently most of you live under a rock and don't know who Todrick Hall is. His view on classic and Disney films are amazing to watch. His creative twist on the airline safety video just shows how good he is. To make something so boring, into art. I believe the kid is only lower 20's. Check out his youtube videos first then come back to this video. Maybe you'll appreciate the hard work this kid has done for this project.
"Past V1 Tells me that this year's hottest video designer is defintiely Todrick Hall! Ooooh-la-la"

For those of you who say that VX wasted money on this new safety video, the reason why they changed it is because they were fined by the FAA for their previous safety video not being closed captioned. DOT fines Virgin America over safety videos - Travel Weekly
Since they had to add closed captioning, they opted to do a new video.
Not my cup of tea, but I'm not a young hipster - VX's target audience.

Many of the dancers/FAs in the video are VX employees. VX likes to keep them young and are offering buyouts to the FAs who have been here five plus years. Many are taking it. We just graduated a class of 20-30 more young FAs and have another class in training right now. While VX leaves a lot to be desired, you certainly cannot complain about the eye candy.
I am just curious how much is the buyout? and how many FAs have been there for 5+ years?

No comparison. Entirely different business model. VX has turned the corner though in terms of profitability.
