Since the last thread got shut down...lets please keep this about October 29th interview date..and any updates...


I heard a rumor that the AM slots may get a dec 4th class date...but I think thats very ambitious.

I know they have called some of my previous employers. I haven't seen any PRIA stuff arrive in the mail yet. I have a friend in training now at jetBlue U and they were told that classes were full until february. It sounded a bit far off to me but I don't know how many are in the pool at this point.

Just from word of mouth the pool is fairly dry. I think September interviews already have class dates.

New guys, be prepared. In 08' we were offered class dates at the interview. Guys are leaving and we are taking planes. Show up sharp it's your interview to blow. Things are moving fast again.

I also think that Dec 4 would be really ambitious, but at the same time I know "Late Dec, early Jan" was mentioned specifically at the exit interview, so take it for what it's worth.

I was also told that the class dates award was dependent on when you interviewed in the day (First to interview, first to class)

Dont be afraid to call the company performing the Background checks. Be proactive- they hold your timetable in their hands.

Out of curiosity, if you contacted them what would you say?

"Hurry up?"

Or do you mean contact them to ensure there are no hold ups or snags?
And assuming there were, aren't they supposed to contact you?

I contacted them several times while waiting. I just asked for the status of my background check. They were very polite and didn't seem to mind my inquiry at all.

In my case, Piedmont was dragging their feet- I got on piedmont myself and urged the investigator to send a letter of non-compliance. And No, they did not contact me about PDT, I had to inquire as to why the check was taking so long. Be proactive- it can cost you seniority, even if its only 15 numbers. Good luck

In either case, did either of you have a reason to suspect the the process was snagged? Did they contact you for any reason?

Super polite! No issue in finding out where you stand.

Now I have a date as to when the background check will be completed. Now that was worth the call!!!

Are they interviewing in November from the old app window or are they done till they open the window possibly next week?

I interviewed yesterday from an app in the February window. I was shocked to get the call since they told me at a job fair they were done with that window.

Ahh ok. Hopefully they don't do to much more from the old window.

I called up Pinaendeavor and kid around with the PRIA lady..told her i would get her a few gift certificates to bloomingdales and macy's..she thought that was funny...they will be the longest to respond to PRIA...im on their a**es...ive heard guys miss class dates because of PRIA requests taking for ever!

Well......Don't put the whammy on guys that might still be hoping for a call from the Feb window.

It's been nearly a year since the window opened last. Needless to say it's been an extremely long wait. This doesn't stop anyone from getting a call. Just re apply with everyone else. Going to have to anyway since they re did the app process.

According to my copy of the PRIA from them, they did it on the last day possible. It's the PinnaColAba/Endeavor way....

Which part? That the guys and gals that interviewed in September don't have class dates or that the pool isn't nearly as full as it once was?

PRIA records from the FAA were in my mailbox after I got home from my last trip. It's getting pretty close for a December class date. I'm thinking it will likely be January instead. Anybody else hear anything?

Dec is looking pretty unlikely for our group. It looks like the Sep guys are getting called for Dec classes, so my guess would be Jan classes for us.

For 2 weeks notice you would need a call tomorrow.

Please don't show if they call you. Our leadership needs to understand how bad we really are.

Has anyone heard anything yet? Read in another thread that a sept interviewee was given a jan 8th class...

I wonder if he was given an earlier class, deferred and was told informally he'd be in the next one. That's how it happened with me. Seems they usually call a little over two weeks before class so I'd assume that might be the case.

That would be my guess.

I wonder if they are going to give guys a two weeks heads up for the Jan 8 class? Two weeks would mean a Dec 25 notice, how would they work work that??

Probably do calls on that Friday the 20th or Mon-Tues the 23-24.

yeah that was me. i deferred the Dec 5th class for Jan 8th. I have some loose ends to tie up that would have interrupted training. I interviewed Sept 26th in the 1530 group. Good luck to all who are waiting.

Any word on how big the December 5th class will be? For those starting tomorrow, congratulations. Let us know the breakdown of the class, I think most should be from the September 28th interview.

im not sure how big this class is but I was told that in Jan/Feb, there will be 100 new guys in class...and 450 new hires in 2014 :D

28 new hires Dec 5th class. Almost evenly split between 320/190

All newbs go to JFK or BOS.
