Everyone on that list except FedEx and ups are interviewing and hiring.

Rumor is ups is recalling and hiring next quarter although if the plans are true to eventually contract everything out like DHL that could be bad long term.

what is "hiring" ? 2 bodies a month ? 50 a month ?

Maybe this can be clarified each airline, per month

I'll take a stab at it:

Delta - 600 in 2014, including compass flow thru and endeavor preferential interview

Usair - 150-200 in 2014 as they transfer all hiring to AA for the merger

AA - 60 to 80 a month including recalls and eagle flow thru

SWA - 200 or 250 in 2014

Spirit- 20+ per month

JB -???

VA- ???

UPS - not yet
FedEx -no

And united is running 3 classes a month, sometimes 4. Is it 16 per class? Last recall isn't obligated to come back until the 10 year anniversary of furlough

Where did you get the 600 from Delta? Last I'd heard it was 300.

Virgin Am has the application window open for pilots for applying but currently there is not a scheduled class. Anyone hired will go into a pool for future classes.

Seems very high to me, where is this information coming from. I thought AA was like 50 a month. Clarify "to include" recalls/flowthrus does this mean 30 TOTAL a month, of THAT total, some are going to be recalls/flowthrus? If yes, then non-AMR dudes street hires will be like 10 a month

Lets not tweak the numbers. It is what it is. I alluded to this under "hiring". FedEx was "hiring" in 2012. At a huge 7 bodies a month...

Latest at DAL is 600/yr for the next 10 years. This comes from the vp of Flt Ops at the latest LCA meeting. I haven't seen that in print yet, but it may be out there somewhere.
