My last BHM layover the Flight Attendants left the Hotel and spent the night on a cousin's floor ... if that fills in any of the blanks about how crews feel about the BHM hotels.

The fat naked guy wearing nothing but a Superman Cape who lived in the shrubbery outside the Hotel was kinda, well, different.

What kind of drugs they do over there?

Considering all of the unfilled ATL M88 and B717 FO slots, I'd say your chances are good.

What unfilled 717 slots are you referring to? I didn't see any on that last AE.

The company has not listed any 717 vacancies on the last several AEs due to the back log of 717 OE training. That being said, the original vacancies were never completely filled. Expect to see ATL and DTW 717 vacancies again soon.

It's my understanding that folks on the property will get a crack at those first.
New hires can't be assigned there until those slots go unfilled on an AE.
I'm trying to find that in the contract.

You're correct. I think more DTW slots have to be offered up, but weren't there already unfilled ATL slots on a previous AE? Maybe DTW too?

It's certainly possible; I do remember some discussion about unfilled 717 slots a few AEs ago.
