Exactly. But since there will be no US airlines serving the place, we don't have to worry about American airliners getting blown up. The TSA just has to be concerned about it's employees whether they be American citizens, or locals that can be bribed via threat or money.
Not to mention the colossal waste of taxpayers money, but what else is new?

Probably not. Why would they kill their own when it will be easier (and more productive to the cause) to kill the infidels? Besides, destroying a ME carrier's assets won't put the US economy into a tailspin like another 9/11. Doesn't have the same impact.

I wrote to MY representative, and included points to support my desires that I felt would get traction with him.
I don't care about politics, I do care about the economics.
Any US based major/international airline pilot should not want this.
If you are a pilot flying for a mid-eastern airline, for obvious reasons, then I'm sure you would support it.

How does the custom officer basing in Abu Dirka work esp when it comes to the pay package? Seems to me there could be a fat housing allowance and COLA adjustment. How do we know with certainty that our tax dollars are not funding this?
