JetBlue pushing the way, how many would follow?

Someone needs to develope an engine that can run on crank, since there is an apparent abundance of that in this country (meth for the un-streetwise). And if they could find a way to throw the dealers and users in that very same engine it might be a solution.

For those of you tree huggers. Make sure you get your fact s straight. This link is from the state of California.
http://www.energy.ca.gov/html/energysources.html
All renewables produce only a little over 10% of the needs of Californians. And remember, the state still doesn't really have enough to go around during peak usage periods. Luckily most of the people live in a relatively mild climate.
I will agree with the huggers on one thing. Everything needs to be on the shelf as far as energy production. This includes the lovely but not very realistic solar and wind energies. Ever seen a wind generator in calm air? Solar cells generating energy at night or on a severely cloudy day? Not much there.
Open up the Outer Continental shelves, ANWAR (I bet most of you couldn't find it on a map, nor ever have visited or intend to visit the great state of AK.) to drilling. Replace all petroleum generating plants with nuclear energy. This includes NG plants. Exploit oil shale (in the US) and oil sands (Canada) as well as the vast reserves in Canada. Offer tax breaks (100%) for the cost and installation of energy savings and generation systems in the home or business. Require all public buildings to comply and offer tax breaks to citizens that will be taxed by those governments to cover these expenditures.
Get the auto manufactures to to design cars that we'll want to buy regardless of how they're propelled. Most look like golf carts. I'm 6'4". Ain't gonna happen.
Wait 30 years for all this to fully develope. Nothing happens that quickly.
