So is everyone just calling Sterling to see if their check is complete?

 

I think the big issue is there's no way to check otherwise. From a human factors standpoint there's 100 points of contact where a simple slip could affect you; and you would never know. You'd just sit there waiting for months. One person in our group had a document go missing and he would never have known unless he called (we all had phase II or TBNT and he did not receive anything).

You can also be routed to India if you call Sterling at certain times - perhaps that's the whole background check staff and "company" (I don't know for sure, I just know at certain times the rep is speaking to you from India. So there's a potential communication barrier.)

It seems there's got to be an electronic way to check this. Some sort of database where you log in and look for the green check marks. If there's a lag, you can then investigate. It seemed my last employer was dragging feet on PRIA. When I called they promptly "informed" me that they "had 30 days." Yeah, but you don't have to use them!

 

Its sounds like most background checks have been completed for Feb interviews. Does anyone know when the pilot hiring committee will be making decisions on Feb 25/26 phase II applicants? How often do they meet for the go/no go decision?

 

I know a few of us, about 6 that I know of, from 2/25 got called this week for 4/30 class.

Looks like the pattern has been that they call right around 14-18 days prior so I'm guessing the selection board meets just before that.

Next class is mid May I think, so I'd expect calls around the end of the month.

The 4/30 class got calls on 4/11 and 4/14 that I know of.

I know the waiting is tough but be patient it will come.

I was in the 25 FEB afternoon interview group and my background
was completed today. One person posted on another thread that another person who interviewed the same day was told their background was not even started yet. If anyone is still waiting, I would call Sterling to check your status. Now its up to the PHC at this point, and I'm still crossing my fingers. Good Luck All!
