Have you called Sterling to make sure they have all they need from you? After lurking the board and hearing the stories, I became VERY proactive in my communications with them. They had transposed the number for the fax of one of my former companies. If I hadn't called, I'm pretty sure they'd have waited the full 30 days before taking any further action.

Also still in Phase II. Called sterling per a few recommendations on here and they said it was complete in early April. Haven't heard a thing from JB since I sent the background in. Seems like most people were either queried about their hours or got a call that "we haven't forgotten about you". I almost feel like my file disappeared!

In the end, whatever is meant to be is meant to be --

Well, while that is true rfw, I think I'd go down swinging. What would there be to lose? Do you have anyone on the inside that could perhaps rattle a cage or two?

Yup, Stirling confirmed complete back in March. I did get a "recent experience" query. I expect all is well, just waiting in the queue. Comforting that there are several of us.

Are you actively flying or low recent times?

Yup. About 125 hr 12-month look back, but all GA. On a mil staff tour now, so no jet time for the last few years.

Hmm. Based on what others have said on APC, I think we may have discovered the issue. They seem to really be hung up on being "current". I don't want to freak anyone out here, and I'll try to find out if it's so, but a B6 friend of mine called me up last night to tell me that I had gotten in just under the wire. He says they just changed the recency to 800 hrs in 12 months. Myself, I have a hard time believing that number, because then all they could interview that MIGHT have a chance would be regional pilots. I have been doing contract charter work and beating the bushes. All I was able to piece together was around 350 in 12 months when I interviewed.

800 in 12? That seems like a lot. I don't even fly that much and I'm 121.

Actually that's about right. I just don't fly as much.

800 in 12 months does seem like a lot. That pretty much takes most of the military guys out of it. Which seems ironic since they put forth the desire to hire veterans with the Vets in Blue events.
