Shot down by SWA

I wonder how many people today would select a SWA job offer if they also had simultaneous offers from DAL, UAL and AA/US? How many out of 100 would elect to go to SWA today and sit on the bottom of the seniority list and wait 18-22 years for the left seat?
No doubt the pay at SWA is great - but it is one of several factors to be considered.

I really hope and pray you are never involved in serious accident or incident. Although these are supposed "anonymous" web sites, your comments could be misconstrued so as to accuse you of committing willful and deliberate acts of "retribution". I can just about guarantee you that if either pilot of MH 370 had made similar comments on an anonymous web board, that would now be a matter of public record.
We/I would simply love to see original SW pilots get completely ****ed out of their seniority and seats at some point in the future just the same as they and their management did to us.
The only tears I'd shed would be of joy. I pray that karma does actually does exist.

WM, instead of thanking Gary and SWAPA for your current position/condition, you could more accurately thank your MEC, no?
You DID take a seniority hit, and temporarily lost your captaincy, and that's rough. By one year from now, your fellow former AT captains will be bidding for the left seat at WN. You haven't been banned from Captaincy.

As for reupgrading in 2015......not a chance in hell. After being in the left seat for many years, it's going to be several years before I can even hold it again and about 15 years before I get back to my original relative seniority under a scenario of hiring only for retirements (0% growth).
In fact, I'm now grouped in with original SW FOs who were NOT EVEN HIRED AT SW WHEN I FINISHED UPGRADING AT AIRTRAN. Anybody have the audacity to tell me I have no right to be livid about that?!

No. I don't blame my MEC at all. I blame my MC to a large extent, and SWAPA and SWA who were in cahoots on a plan to threaten us with "non-integration" should the SLI go to arbitration. Let's not try once again to spin this back to the MEC. For the most part they did as I asked them to, especially with regard to sending that first POS back without a vote. It was insulting to say the least.

Along with the entire pilot group? Not really. Our merger committee? Absolutely.

I'd be at $175/hr as opposed to $133/trip now. I credited about 90 hours before and about 105 trips now for about the same number of days worked. I'll let you do the math.
