Curious how their certification application is going? More difficult in todays world that the early 80's when they were the sweetheart of the industry. Too bad they failed to stick to their original business model back then or they may still be around! Seems like the once hubs or PIT, CVG and CLE might have some market potential.... good luck to them.

Rich people never get tired of playing with airplanes. There will always be start ups that suck money out of the industry, and the vast majority of them will continue to liquidate as the model almost always guarantees. The dammage they do to the industry while they ride the churn is just the cost of doing business for everyone else I guess.

Those hubs you mentioned are still very well served relative to their size and market demand. Only a meglomaniac on an airport board would think that getting some MLM start up scheme to come in will restore the glory days of hourly flights to every dot on the map.

That article's author just seems like some Crackberry analcyst flipping out that YoY shrinkage isn't continuing for all eternity, which no growth or shrinkage trend vector can mathematically do anyway (unless you shrink out of existence I guess).
