Yes sir! I'm on it, also gotta get Atlas up. Thanks Viper.

Awesome Monkey, thanks for that. I will get it updated.

Sulkair- thanks for the work. I recommend you remove the 1000 hours from the FO pay assumption. Guarantees vary and (the ones I checked) are 10-15% below 1000 making the total you posted misleading.

Yeah, I'm not sure how to work this out. I could factor every airline's min guarantee for comparison, but that isn't really helpful either, because how many pilots only collect min guarantee year after year?

I like using the 1000 hours a year for a benchmark. For a couple reasons. A.) It doesn't seem unusual to me for a pilot to credit an average 83.33 hours. B.) Using 1000 per year allows for the hourly dollar amount to directly reflect the annual income. Very easy for making direct comparisons. And my intention with these charts is not to give someone an idea of what they can make their first year, but what they can expect to make over 12 years. Eventually I want to build a chart that can show you what you'll make if you upgrade at year 5 at Spirit vs Year 10 at Southwest - that sort of thing.

What I may do to address your concern is build a second chart using min guarantee as the primary data point. Do you or anyone else have any ideas of how you'd like to see it?

I do GREATLY appreciate the feedback. And hearing from you guys makes me want to keep developing this. Thank you!

Fly, actually I think you're right. I constructed a similar chart but using min reserve guarantee as the basis. Thanks for prompting me to make the change. I'm going to leave the 1000 one up as well - for now.

I think a dual pay chart option is the best and most realistic for planning purposes.

Very, very few airline pilots only make min monthly guarantee and not a penny more, for an entire year. Let alone year after year. Its almost impossible, and when it does happen (for a year or more) its almost always by choice. The 1000 pay hours a year WAG is fairly accurate in more cases than its not. Usually far more accurate than min guar only.

Thanks gloopy - I'll leave both then, continue to refine them, and start working on the Captain pay!

Nice work. I realize everyone's rates change, but since you are wanting it as accurate as possible, Spirit's rates go up essentially $2/hr in 12 days, on August 1st, in case you want to reflect that.

I agree with you, a table factoring in projected upgrade would be a very nice analysis. I appreciate the work you are doing!

Eric, thanks man! I'll get that raise reflected - congrats by the way. Once changed, if you don't mind double checking that the Spirit rates are exact, I'd appreciate it!
