I'm sorry, no, unfortunately I just don't have enough time to keep up with an exhaustive database, such as would be required, to contain what you suggest. :)

757HI 04-04-2015 11:34 AM

Pilots per plane:
Delta: 16
American: 13

If anyone sending in apps values days off and lifestyle, I know which airline I'd be gunning for!

Utilization plays an overarching factor in this though. I assume these two carriers have similar utilization, but I don't know for sure. Also these numbers are a bit dated with all the hiring. If anyone has Fleet size and active pilot numbers for their airlines. PM or post and I'll update.

Using #of pilots as a metric. Source APC profiles.

Just made this for fun and thought I'd share it.

Holy C.... I thought I was busy with my little 5 page spreadsheet (looking at my progress on the seniority list for my company and some comparison with the Legacies). Great job, the only thing "missing" on the pay in 20yr tables is "career perspective", some airlines have significantly faster upgrade possibility than can be had with others (DL LGA MD80 PIC Reserve lines anyone?) but I would not know how to have a table for that other than to go by most junior captain....
Thanks for the work, I will look at my company and send an update with numbers if needed.

Thank you - and you're welcome! You are correct wrt career perspective. However, as a workaround (for example) you can scroll down below the charts, look at total earnings for Southwest, upgrade at 12 years, write down the number, and then look at Spirit, upgrade at 3 years and compare. Southwest still makes $200K more LOL! But unfortunately doesn't factor A,B funds and other benefits.

It's not all encompassing, but it's sometimes helpful to see stuff side by side. Another disclaimer - these sheets don't seem to cooperate well with mobile devices but do ok on desktops.
