Jetblue vs Spirit

I'm most familiar with Delta's insurance options and to some people's surprise, we do have a better plan available than they do. I don't say these things to malign any other carrier. I'm just trying to help some in understanding our current predicament.
And should we come up short on this next contract, I'll be in line at the AA or Delta booth next to the rest of you guys looking to bail.

Yes, of course there will be outliers that would choose to stick it out for a variety of reasons. But if you have 25+ years to spend at a higher paying legacy, w/ better retirement, etc....it would seem a no-brainer for the majority.

I can't argue with how good our Reserve rules are, they are pretty awesome. I also LOVE the 4 days off. Insurance is great. Retirement and pay rates need to come up, and we should absolutely NOT have to give up any QOL for it.........
I'm sure it's due to the smaller airline size, or the fact I got in at a decent time, but been here just over a year. I can hold most weekends off, holidays etc.......
This place is a GREAT job, we just have to make it a GREAT career.

4 days off is awesome I really hope you guys keep that. But my question is if you want every weekend off that means you are limited to doing 3 day trips all month correct? Do they build lines like that? Just curious. Also don't feel bad about training on days off we do it at scareways too. It sucks

I'm at JB because they offered me the job and I couldn't even get an interview with Spirit. JB has an uncertain future because they have an untested pilot group. JB is at war, and there are still pilots who don't even know that. Mgt is completely owning the pilots right now.
Spirit pilots know what they are worth and have the Strike pins to prove it. Many JB pilots seem to think they don't deserve better, and therefore will only get worse.

Seems like you really want to be at Spirit and not jetBlue.
We had more yes votes than we had cards turned in.(that has never happened)
With over a 70% yes vote I think the pilots know what's going on.
What would you like us to do right now?
We are moving forward and this will take time but to infer that the pilots here are weak and we have an uncertain future is a little dramatic.
