Clearly fox is the Republican Party outlet and msnbc is the Democratic Party outlet.
But CNN?? They're not left-wing or right-wing. They are a "news product". It's a large corporation trying to make money by selling whatever they think the consumer wants. They are an institutional tabloid. I find them 100x more revolting than any overt partisan hackery. Watching them only encourages them. They are a degradation of our society.

I'm with Goggles on this...but possibly for a reason he won't agree with. I live in a concealed carry state. This subhuman who beheaded that woman would have been dropped after the first scream, and it likely wouldn't have been from an off duty cop as happened in OK. If I didn't have my weapon with me, any other object would have sufficed. Police can't be everywhere all the time so we have to look out for each other and fix problems on the spot when the police are not around. More and more people are understanding this.

As these public beheadings continue (and they will), our society will morph into one of being more comfortable with citizen "police action." We will probably even see "street justice" administered on occasion which is concerning, but inevitable. Our society will toughen up over this...and it should.

I agree a gazillion percent.

As the popularity of these wacko, wanna-be copycat's, who think they're following some misperceived radical, sand-flea religion bring a greater amount of threat to normalized society, there'll be a significantly increased need for bystander's, with personal protection devices (concealed weapons), to step in when the police aren't able to respond.

GJ

P.S. My wife also has her concealed carry permit for her Glock .40 and knows how to use it. :)

Tell her I'm proud of her GJ. My wife's not quite there yet.

Ideally yes, realistically no. Have you taken a look at America's youth today? They are more concerned with fb and twitter, instagram etc than what is going on five feet from them. Secondly, the male in this country has been systematically castrated by the government and media. Men are feminized. The will for people to fight is basically nil.
While I agree with what you're saying, the reality of it doesn't mix....

Conceal carry permit? Not in NJ.

Yes I have. While it's true that some youth are as you describe, I flew as a pax with half a plane full of Marines on their way to Parris Island. They were all fit, tough, and looked like they could kill me with a look. I asked my seat mate how old he was, and he was 19. When we go boots on the ground again in Iraq and Syria, those boots will be filled with these youth.

My prediction is that the feminization of men has bottomed out. It's back to being Neanderthals like me.

There are other means of persuasion and crime defense.

A month after 9/11, I was hunting Osama and killing Al Queda by the hundreds on every sortie! The most gratifying time of my entire career and some of the most fun I've ever had flying.
