I wish I could have done that. Certainly beats flying an RJ.

The "off duty cop" that shot the dude in OK actually worked at the plant, he just happened to also be a reserve Sheriff Deputy.

Respectfully, I don't think killing people by the hundreds should be gratifying, whatever the circumstances.

My point is that the basis for this economic harm will originate in the public's irrational fear of death by terrorism. I can distinctly remember reporters shoving their mic's in peoples' faces at the airports a month after 9-11 and asking passengers if they "thought it was safe to fly," (and thereby insinuating -- contrary to the mountain of statistical data proving otherwise -- that it wasn't.)
I'm amazed at how artificial and influenced by society 's whims our economy is. How can something so intangible be so fragile? Of course, if people just went on with their business on 9/12 it would've rendered the attack completely ineffective. They weren't just crashing planes, their goal was a reaction. And they got it. We brought the rest down on ourselves.

And you forget that your freedom and way of life are under attack and not guaranteed. Sometimes you have to fight against those who wish you ill (or worse). There are some in this world who don't want to talk or negotiate.

He wasn't killing people. He was eradicating vermin.

For the ISIS thugs, they should use napalm.

I too was there but in a more covert part of the AF--those folks are savages. Vermin implies animals--they are worse. The things I saw & stories I heard from the operators and buds that hauled prisoners would astound you.

Ah the good old "they hate us because of our freedom". Maybe we should take a long hard look at how the Brits divided up those areas with no regard for the individual tribes that hate each other. Meddling is what got us into this mess.

The only people attacking our freedoms are the ones that we were sleepily voting in to govern us.
