Hello,
I am trying to find the best option home for this weekend. The first is on Saturday 24th taking flight 4056 from SEA to MDW and then 3040 to IAD.
My second option is taking flight 4339 SEA to DEN and then 3191 to BWI.
Can anyone tell me which is my best hope for getting home? I have never jump seated on Southwest. Are the crews friendly about taking two jumps eaters on long flights?
Thank you!

Without a doubt, the first option (SEA-MDW-IAD) is much better. SEA-MDW has 32 unsold and 1 listed. MDW-IAD is wide open.
Your second option (going to BWI through DEN) is full on both flights.
I work for SWA, so I can't comment for offline, but I have never flown with a captain that has been anything less than absolutely welcoming to an offline Jumpseater. List over the phone or at a gate that isn't busy. Bring a snack, introduce yourself and show your creds. Most ops agents just have you pre board, CA will have you take a seat in the back, and if they need you to come up front, they will call.

Lighten up, Francis. I helped the last guy who posted a load check request and I clicked on this thread to help this guy as well but someone beat me to it. I just found the "bring chocolate to the agents" comment amusing.

Every seat is first class, whack. You know that.
I find that if you show an act of kindness (not in a creepy way), people are more apt to help you out. That's all. Hovering and impatience usually get you put in the penalty box. So far, the vast majority of my jumpseat experiences have gone well, including at Airtran where I was treated very well by the entire crew.

However I have noticed that more recently they couldnt be less appreciative with a gift of chocolates. Last time the agent didnt even say thank you and just sat it aside, as if it was a required "tribute" to pay.
Not a big deal, I dont really care either way, but it was just amusing.
I rather take care of the FAs who seems to always be appreciative and happy to receive some snacks.
You want a good laugh? Bring Cinnabon mini cinnamon rolls to the FAs. If youre lucky, there will be some male flight attendants (Heyyyyyyy) and listen to them talk about how "fat their butt will get if they eat them". Always worth it!!
SWA crews have always be amazing and the pilots have been the best I have ever ran across when trying to jumpseat. Even when I was a regional FO back in the day, always treated me with respect, unlike the AA FO who offered me the 4 uneaten raviolis on his plate after he ate the rest, thats a story for a different day.
