Ineffective works for me as they lack time off producing metrics, but if I'm not mistaken inefficient may be synonymous anyhow.

5:30 to 6:00 per day or I'm voting No. If they're going to stick with the paltry 5, then we have to be able to bid 70 hour lines if we choose to, and not be forced to a minute more. I'm in this gig for the days off. 80+ bid divisors are bulls@@t.

I like days off too
We should be able to drop below 70
like many others airlines can do.
If I want to drop to zero without pay
I should be able to
And there would be more open time
for others to pick up.
It's all about the options

Well you have to work enough to make up for what you cost the company just to be on the payroll (taxes, insurance, etc.), so a certain level should be maintained. Maybe 35 hours? Anything would be better than what we have now.

But remember that isn't a zero cost item for the company. There are lots of people picking up that time at 1.5 time. Or more senior guys getting it at a higher rate. So we need to determine our priorities and go for those things that are most important.

There are a number of majors that have credit caps. Us Air for one, I have buddies there that tell me it something like 80-85 hours depending on the month. You think anyone will want to go this direction?

I would like the freedom to credit at least 100/month but 90-95 works. Itll prob never go below 90- staffing issues. I also dont like the union limiting us.

I thought premium for open time was gone
But if a senior guy drops
and a junior guy picks up
isn't this convenient for the company?
I know there are more important issues
but this one is a high priority to me
No cap and no dropping limit
Wouldn't it be nice to have options?
