Richard Anderson to retire?
 

Had a DL union guy on the jumpseat. Nice guy. Talked about the contract asks and of Anderson retiring soon. Truth?

Anderson has recently stated that Delta would be his last job. He did not give a timeframe for retirement other then saying he has no plans to leave soon.

I hear that he is retiring this fall, and Bastian will take his place.

Ed is like our presidential candidates. It's hard to get excited about......

Anderson has been "retiring soon" for the last several years. If he is planning on it, only a handful of senior execs would know and they wouldn't be talking about it publicly.

Is this the same guy who said he had no plans to merge with NW? :rolleyes:

Serious question, is Ed an automatic to replace Richard or do they go outside the box and replace both?

Ed is the only South Manager to survive the bankruptcy "Restructuring".

I'm guessing that's not a coincidence.

He must have buddies on the BOD, I'll be very surprised if he's not 'the chosen one'.

Not a mgt fan, but it will be a sad day when Anderson retires. Better the devil you know than the one you don't. At least he's interested in running a profitable air line.
