New Emirates commercial

(Again, I'd rather US carriers just fly these routes themselves)

Not for certain. Their expansion might be impeded by the shear lack of qualified labor in the near future. Their egos is getting in the way of incentivizing the job, leading to a looming exodus of pilots. Some might even be able to draw parallels with Gulf Air.

You know you don't care about them. You're just using it as an opportunity to knock on the ME3 airlines. Irrelevant to the airline discussion. No one working for Emirates is dying. The slave-like physical/manual labor problem is hardly just Qatar, it's also spread in other nations. But you don't care enough for those only for the ME3 to put down those airlines.
Emirates, Qatar, and Etihad are here and they are here to stay.

Irrelevant. You don't care. You only brought it up to bash the ME3 airlines because of their governments and the supposed financial backings. FYI I don't fly in the pit, I fly here.

Common sense would dictate that. But I have reason to believe that EK does not operate under that paradigm. Again, shear ego will prevent any kind of progressive fixes like off-basing. Not to mention the fact that these decisions needed to be made five years ago. Today, that ship has sailed.

Thanks for telling me how I think. Btw, got friends from the PI that lost family members while slaving away in Qatar. But who cares, the problem is spread around.

Everyone thought that there was going to be an avalanche of resignations and thus far it has been manageable levels, with plenty of people applying..., if they had that many problems hiring, Why would people wait months on end to have their applications processed? Don't believe the hype!

VA at least orders planes and competes reasonably. They operate far more above board than ME3, which are babies of their respective oil rich governments. While "S"RB and his fortune plays a role, his entire net worth is a joke compared to the ME3 fiefdoms. ME3 have more planes on order than we have planes. And they're not all coming to fly Chinese bubble market investors to and from their ghost cites to all points in the third world. They are coming to take our existing flying while we provide their regional defense, pay them to take our airplanes and subsidize their assault on our piloting profession through our tax code.
