Default Turbine PIC

Hey guys, here is a hypothetical situation...say a guy hauls cargo for 3 years in a BE99 (Part 135) and gets say 2000 Multi Turbine Prop PIC...then he goes to a regional and gets about 500 hours in a CRJ as SIC...would the majors be likely to interview/ hire him? Thanks all!

SWA is pretty good about interviewing people with 2000 Turbine PIC, you probably wouldn't need to to the regional thing...of course they only hire a fraction of those they interview

If you can't hired right out of 135, other airlines are likely to want to see some 121/jet/glass time, but like you said some regional SIC should punch that ticket.

This plan might work if major airline hiring opens up in a big way, but right now you really need to know someone. You are better off with bare minimum qualifications and an inside connection.

There are other criteria to consider as well. College degree, other accomplishments in life etc...Your numbers would be good 10 years ago, though there are still too many pilots on furlough at the majors. Maybe in 3-5 years (if age 60 not raised) you'd have a chance at the majors. Best of luck!
