Proline 21 V Speeds
#2
Probably not the right forum for the question - - but I can tell you that when I put in a V1 speed of 112, the Vr speed autofills to 112 and then I roll it up to 119, which automatically autofills the V2 speed with 119, which I then roll up to 122.
So in my experience....yes, the PL21 system will help you with this (though honestly I've not noticed what happens if I were to try and roll DOWN the autofilled speed to something below the previously selected speed.)

Kendog,
First V1 can be equal to, or less than Vr. Second, PL21, checks the calculations between the 2 FMSs and posts the speeds, so there is a check and single FMS installations can not compute and post Vspeeds. Last, when you manually enter a V1; Vr is automatically set to match Vr.
Also, it is very type specific.

Yes, I was an instructor on Falcons and Hawkers for years. The collins Pro line FMS 4100 and above use the data from the manuals. I doesn't run an algorithm it pull from data inputted from the data base. You have more a logic protection, not a calculation error check.
