Default Cal Taxi Speeds

Taxi speeds of late seem to be way too fast! What is the hurry? Slow down and be safe. Slower speeds are safer, more comfortable for the pax, and less wear and tear on the aircraft.

Do you have any specific examples or are you just making a public service announcement?

are you gonna tell us to eat our veggies too??? If you are gonna start telling folks about proper taxi speeds, there are a few airlines ahead of CAL that you should start with. Good luck with this one.

When you aren't scared in the left seat and you've been there a few hundred times you'll be surprised how many taxi above single digit speeds. Not everyone needs to taxi like a tortoise.

Especially when you land on 26R in IAH.

Must be a bunch of guys getting ready to go to work at SouthWest.

I can see it now, a sarcastic joke that anybody with half a brain will pick up on as well as see the humor in will deteriorate into a multi page thread that bashes SW.

Hey! Until you guys can match AA's snail pace, I suggest you stay out of the airline taxi speed competition. Capish?
