Mike, you don't get killed for being an atheist in Qatar..I think my co workers and bosses know my status of being an atheist and they don't say anything. Obviously I don't go around preaching atheism in Qatar but generally speaking no one is going to touch you here over what you believe as long as you don't go out and openly preach it..Yes it's not a totally a free society like the good ole USA but really, why would you discuss this stuff in their backyard knowing they don't like the subject

I'm fairly liberal, damn near hippy on some issues, save the world, peace on earth type crap, but I'm getting really perplexed, fed-up, confused, borderline angry by this…
I turn on the news (any one of them), I open my browser, I almost instantly see statements from dozens of world leaders, presidents, societal leaders, etc denouncing, calling for peace, etc…. guess what I NEVER see… muslims and/or muslim leaders doing the same. I'm sure it occurs and it just doesn't garner media attention, but it's no secret that the muslim voice denouncing these acts is a mouse compared to virtually everyone/thing else!
Speak the F*&K up muslims!

Wow, Eastern European guy, you have the nerve to accuse a fellow pilot of being in a sleeper cell because he's a muslim..That would mean that all your countrymen in the Czech Republic practice incest also right? Only cuz it's a rumor it must be true..Sorry, not a rumor but it is practiced although remotely so that makes everyone in your country guilty

Really? So 100 people with guns couldn't stop it?
I don't like it anymore than you, but the best deterrent for a gun, is another gun. What's been proven is that when guns are not available to the GP today, the only one without it is the GP. Afterwards the GP is relabeled 'victim'.

Wow. So in one paragraph you engage in laughable naivety...and cringeworthy stereotyping.
You have clearly led a sheltered life.
Next time you're in MSP, ask the Somali cleaners if they're Muslim. Actually, you don't have to ask. The women wear the hijab, and won't talk to you. They aren't rich. They have zero interest in being assimilated into American culture. And ISIS and/or al Shabab are actively recruiting in the Somali community. Which is huge in MSP. And that's just one city.
By all means, keep thinking they will stop wanting to kill us if we just try to understand them.
Or perhaps you are one of those who thinks "climate change" is the biggest threat to national security.

There is nothing left to stop once the suicide bomber lights the fuse. So no, 100 people with guns in a crowded movie theater or similar venue wouldn't save the day nor be much of a deterrent to a suicide bomber. They are smart and stealthy and are very effective at blindsiding their targets.

Well my Italian brother, I agree with you that assimilation is important but that doesn't mean that a migrant lose his/ her culture in the process..it's what makes America a great country..Americans have a heart of gold and they are naive so they really don't comprehend the true story but just what's fed to them on news channels like FOX

These sorts of cowardly acts are going to continue. They will continue because we are comparing apples to oranges. The followers of Isis do not value human life the same way normal people do they really don't care whether they live or die, it's very hard to combat that. Sorta like stopping kamikaze pilots in WWII. The only way you will stop Isis is wholesale eradication and that starts with containment. EVERY single Muslim male under the age of 45 is suspect, they need to be locked down. Flights in an out of Syria, and other areas with large Muslim populations need to be immediately stopped. The areas that are under Isis control need to be eradicated, depopulated. The problem is, this is inhumane and wont (and probably shouldn't) be supported by the US. Without doing this, we'll continue to see these sorts of cowardly attacks.
