Ok cool. Thanks for checking!

So I guess it's safe to assume I'll be riding up front?

Seems likely--but you have to further assume you get the JS.

Good news is, it's currently showing open (i.e., no one has listed for it). An online guy could list for it up until the gate agent assumes control (~1 hour prior); and I think online guys have walk-up priority until 15 (?) minutes prior. After that, FCFS (get there & get listed ASAP). (DISCLAIMER: as an online guy, I'm familiar with the listing priorites; not so much for offline stuff.)

Cool. Is there any way for offline guys to list ahead of time? And if so, do gate agents prefer that you do that like Southwest and American?

In almost all cases if you can list for the jumpseat ahead of time, gate agents prefer that. At the very least its brownie points with the agent and at worst it saves you that awkward silence when the agent turns his/her nose up and says "I'm too busy to list you". I've never EVER had a situation where the agent didn't appreciate that I had already made a listing and had far more situations where I'm scrambling to get home on plan B or C and get the uncooperative/overworked agent.

Agreed, but Delta doesn't provide a way to list ahead of time.

For the record I ended up getting a seat in the back. Thanks guys!
