Who is still waiting for the call?

Well fellow pilots, just as I had my doubts about ever receiving that interview invite and feeling whether I was ‘legacy material’...
It happened. The carrier I least expected to invite me for an interview, invited me!
Don’t get me wrong, I kept updating all apps every two weeks. Networked a ton. Kept in touch with majority of my buddies that moved on. I was very fortunate that all offered to help my career. Truly grateful! Attended OBAP and an expo. Kept my attitude up and just enjoyed everyday I sat my butt down on the pilots seat.
Biggest thing to overcome was watching my peers get the invite and asking why I hadn’t gotten one. It was tough and a killer so I forced myself to change and just enjoy the ride.
I’m extremely excited to be given an opportunity to interview. Now it’s up to me to earn a cjo.
Moral of the story, don’t be that pilot with a shi**y attitude. Have patience, it is coming!

It’s a fun ride, a great career, and infinitely better then the American corporate cubicle grind many people, through no fault of their own, find themselves trapped in. Don’t take it for granted, constantly fight to better the profession, and remember how blessed you are whichever cockpit you’re in.

This was the biggest thing I struggled with. There were so many guys/girls who were getting the call before me who didn't do the things I was doing. At some point, I told myself to just control what I could. The call came. It will come for everyone who wants it bad enough.
