SWA Application in!
Well, I hit the 1000PIC Turbine and yesterday. so I promtly went home and completed the Southwest Application online.
Any hints out there on how to get noticed by the HR department there?
I hear of guys getting and interview without the type in the 737...any truth to that?
I have no problems going to get the type if I am offered the job...but I am afraid to get the type and then never get called and then maybe never use it.
Just looking for Ideas!

Very, very few get interviewed without the type these days. If you consider that almost every furloughed pilot can get a 73 type at no cost through unemployment, you're going to have to get a type to be competitive. Not that it can not happen without the type, but it won't.
Congrats on the 1000 PIC! But, SWA is interviewing pilots between 1600-2300 PIC Turbine. While they will let you apply at 1000 PIC turbine, you will not be competitive (for the interview that is). The threshold on min PIC turbine changes on a daily basis (between those two numbers) based on the average PIC times of applicants. So don't stop logging PIC turbine if SWA is your goal (don't change jobs - go to right seat in equipment).
Best of luck,

Tiptanks,
Yeah that is what I thought...I am actually pretty happy with my QOL and just getting checked out as a checkairman and sim instructor...so I am going to sit tight for a while....my goal is to never fly an RJ...so I will stay in the "real commuters" till I make it in the majors.....or maybe just become a big fish in this little pond!
Thanks for the insight.
