Take a deep breath and try to relax.
The new SoT is NOT going to be operating in a vacuum and do whatever she wants in spite of the incoming administration's #1 campaign theme "fair deal for the American worker(s)".
And the Heritage Foundation is not going to be running the gov't.
Geez.

I love when people open their mouths and remove all doubt. So, where exactly did you go to school and what did you study? My first degree was engineering. And like 99.9% of scientifically trained people I know climate change is happening and that it has been brought on by human activity since the start of the Industrial Revolution. It's no longer a debate. Only fools don't acknowledge and accept our impact.

So are you implying that losing our pensions was a direct result of the Bush Administration and not the actions of 19 misguided fanatics who hijacked two of our jetliners along with jets from American Airlines and killed over 3 thousand Americans is this country's worst terrorist attack?
The loss of our pensions had everything to do with government policy. 9-11 was only the catalyst.
The people rising to power again are either the exact same people or they hold the same beliefs regarding labor policy.

What is it our new leader likes to say? Oh yeah, wrong. It's no longer a debate. It's happening and it's quantifiable and provable. The only debate is how the climate will change and what effect that will have upon all creatures inhabiting this planet. The consenus so far is not a good one. Plenty of people chose to believe the Earth was flat for some time. Just like the many who chose to believe the Earth was the center of the universe despite Copernicus and his elegant proofs otherwise. And just like many fundamental religious idiots today choose to believe the Earth has only been around for six thousand years. Choose to believe that we don't impact the climate if you want. Just don't let your "beliefs" get in the way of grown ups who are trying to make the world a better place for all in it and all yet to come.

That, sir, is a very mild and accurate response. Only fools won't acknowledge and accept the truth of your observation here.
See there? It's happening and it's quantifiable and provable.

Yeah I don't like you much either SayAlt. Like DirtyRat before you, I'd like to welcome you to my ignore list. Normally I suffer people I don't like because I may learn something of value from them. In your case I'm certain I won't.

The outgoing guy made major promises re: national unity and gov't transparency, neither of which he made any serious attempt to keep. As Jon Stewart so aptly said in a Rolling Stone interview in 2011, "It is as if he was over us (the voters) as soon as he took office."
Look where that got him and, more importantly, his party. One has to go all the way back to the 1920s to find democrats so politically weak nationwide as of Jan. 2017. History will inescapably show him to be a political aberration, not the "new normal". And his failures, almost all of them, go back to failing to keep those two central campaign promises of unity and transparency.
But then, that's what ya get when you promote a guy with no experience whatsoever to be the chief executive. Remember Democrats insisting his lack of experience didn't matter?? Well sir, it will be generations before they make that mistake again, if ever!
The new guy, on the other hand, has decades of experience being a chief executive, and a very successful one at that. He isn't likely to make the same novice mistakes in leadership the outgoing guy did...like failing to keep key, important campaign promises. Can he fail to keep them? Of course. Will he? I don't think so, not the important ones. If he doesn't, he is unlikely to win a 2nd term.
Voters don't like being lied to. See: the last 8 years
