If anyone ever spent much time in Tulsa, OK., you most likely met an AME named Guy "Doc" Baldwin.
Doc was a supreme individual. Although he never flew for any airline, he owned many airplanes and flew them all. Became an aerobatic competition pilot as well, with his Extra 300.
This last post reminded me of him, as he would fly himself to a couple of different offices and you could only catch him a couple days a week. Otherwise he was flying something. He was a fine individual.
Unfort. Doc didn't make it through an airshow last year.
Over the years, I've seen a lot of this. Pilots with dual careers, Dr.'s, lawyers, etc.
I've noticed its almost impossible to be a 100% professional at two careers, one of the two will suffer in some area.
