Typical. That childish response tells me everything I need to know about you. You have an attitude problem. Why else would you want to blind or distract another crew while they're taking the runway?
"Oh no, that 757 guy is pointing his shiny light at me for 5 whole seconds! Ouch, my feelings!!! I need to flash this guy down IMMEDIATELY and get him to turn off that DAMN taxi light before he takes off!!!" Can you not see how stupid that is? |
A Delta 757 pilot was kind enough to extinguish the taxi light as we pointed nose-to-nose this evening. The same courtesy was extended by us, life goes on.

Calm down, Francis. You know nothing of this person in reality, so quit being so melodramatic. Jeez.

I've had the same experience with the Delta brethren in ATL. Their taxi light usage shows a complete lack of SA. I guess next time I'll just have to light them up and they can "just look down".

From one professional to another, is shining your lights in my face in the first place the safest and courteous thing to do? I don't think so. Delaying turning your lights on for a couple seconds isn't going to compromise safety and shows that you are a professional that's paid to think and not just a robot while you're occupying the cockpit.

Before you answer, remember that you're being paid to be a safety-oriented professional as well... |

We don't disagree on that front. I'm asking you if retaliating with your own bright lights is the safest thing to do?

Good grief.....can't you realize that more than just a few are upset with some of the DLA jets' taxi light usage? You continue looking down when you get a face full of 757 taxi light in ATL and we'll continue to remind them to turn it the fook off when it's blinding us.
