Delta Pilots Rejects Arbitration With Northwest Pilots

It depends on how you take them. As a regular line/blockholder, you can drop trips via MLOA, but you lose the pay for the trip. If you drop an on call reserve day, you lose 1/18 of the reserve guarantee, which is 3:53 (it used to be 1/30 of the reserve guarantee, which is only 70/30= 2.20; if it still is, some DAL type correct me).
You can schedule your MLOA on your days off (regular or reserve) of course, and no pay is affected, since you are still doing a month's worth of airline flying in addition to your MLOA--of course now you aren't home much!

Guys,
Last Thursday, March 20, Delta and Boeing concluded an agreement that will bring 45 B-777LR’s to the property by the end of 2015. We already have the first two. The order was for an additional 29 B-777’s to go with the previously announced 8 aircraft as well as the not announced 8 firm orders.
Can you say the merger is off and we are going to go it alone?
This is a very reliable source. I still think if the SLI could have been worked out it would have benefited us all in the long run. Each MEC did their best but I think there were too many variables for them to overcome. No stone throwing on my part, I'm sure both MEC's tried to get what they thought was a fair deal for their respective groups and did it to the best of their abilities. It is really hard to deal with expectations that are always greater than actualities.Good luck to everybody. I wonder if all those 777's are "premium flying" ?

I absolutely hate the fact that some discussions between our two groups have degenerated into a nanna nanna attitude. If indeed DAL did order these airplanes then great, it may make us a lot of money or it may make us bankrupt, who knows.
I for one believe and hope these attitudes are NOT representative of those across both groups and do wish the best for BOTH groups in the future. I have ridden on numerous NWA jumpseats in the past and have been treated VERY well and that is the treatment they will receive by me on my jumpseat.
Best wishes to both in the future, fly safe!
Very respectfully!!
